Introduction

Air running is a good money income for lower levels plus good XP if you are using air runners to gain XP in the rune making skill Runecrafting.

In this guide, you will learn how to run Essence for crafters and also how to use runners to gain XP.

Running Essence

First off, your going to need to know the air running world. Its the F2P world, 16. This world is the place to run airs, as this is where all the crafters are - the people who will be paying you.
But before we do anything, your going to need to know your inventory.

Your inventory should consist of 25 rune essence UN-NOTED only. Later on this will be swapped for 25 noted essence and the payment you choose (Will be discussed later on in the guide). You *WILL* need either an air talisman or air tiara to gain access to the temple!

Now you COULD wear your best expensive clothes when running to and from the air temple... but, this lowers energy faster, meaning longer amount of time between trips, meaning less money an hour. As you have probably heard, Time = Money.

Either wear light clothes or nothing at all. Random event clothes perhaps.



OR

Well, we have all that sorted now... But before you start running your going to need to know where to run! The air temple is south of Falador east bank, so all you need to do is run south along the path, where you will see the glowing ruins, plus lots of people running to and from it (On world 16).

So now you know how and where to run, all thats left is for you to decide what payment you want to be receiving. That will be discussed at the end of the guide.

Please remember to be kind and mature when running, NEVER swamp a player with trade screens, this will annoy them ALOT. Get the amount of rune essence right, otherwise the crafter may get annoyed with you, then not use you again.

Air Crafting

Before deciding to use runners for mega fast XP, ask yourself the following questions:

1. Can you afford to pay runners 2k every run?
2. Can you make 150 air runes with 25 essence?
3. Do you have a large amount of Rune essence to replace the runners 25 essence with?

If you answered NO to both 1+2 or just 3, then your not going to be able to use runners and your going to have to run essence for yourself.

Now, for your inventory your going to need all your cash, all your NOTED essence and 26 free spots (One of these will be taken up after you craft your first load of air runes). Refer to the picture below. *REMEMBER* your air tiara! Details on making one can be found here.

As you are not going to be running, you can wear what you wish.

Now you need to make your way to the air temple, refer to the map near the begining of this guide if you do not know the route.

As you enter the temple, you will see how crowded it is. You will need to move to an area where there is some room, then as an example shout out: 'Open! 2k + Ess back!', or another payment method we will discuss later.

At this point you will most likely be swamped with trades from various runners. Click on one of them, then offer 25 noted essence PLUS your payment, they will now offer 25 UN-NOTED essence and accept. Once your done, quickly craft your air runes then repeat the above process.

Payment

The most common payment is 2k and your ess back. At busy times the amount can raise above 2k, such as 2.2k or 2.5k.

Another less likely, but still pretty common payment is air runes and ess back. The air runes given range from 100-150, depending on the crafters RC level.

Use the payment that suits you best.

Some people try paying less then the above payments, or not give you essence. It's not recommended you trade with these people, due to the fact there will always be honest runecrafters out there willing to pay the most common prices, perhaps more if your lucky.
