Introduction

On September 19th, Jagex Released Bank Account PIN Numbers. These PIN numbers are to help Runescapers keep there most valued items safe. Once logged on you only have to enter you password once untill you logout. Runescape PIN numbers are both for free players and members or Runescape.

Where are they?

You can set up your PIN numbers (Personal Identification Number) almost anywhere in Runescape (See Below).

How to set up a PIN?

  1. Go to any bank in Runescape members or non Members. Talk to the banker. (Not All Bankers Work).

  2. Select the option with two white dots.

  3. Now your Bank PIN Setting screen pops up. Click on "Set A Pin".

  4. They'll ask you if you really wish to get a PIN and never forget it.

  5. Now heres where you enter your PIN.

  6. Select your first number. To make sure you clicked it your first number the first ? (left to right) in the top right corner should have changed to a * .

  7. Now select your second number and do the same as the step above check if the second ? turned to a * .

  8. Please note that after you select a number the order goes random, it does this to prevent hacking.

  9. When done entering your 4 digit PIN you are asked to complete it again to confirm it. When this is done you have to wait seven days for the PIN to kick into the system in order to prevent hackers from setting one and locking you out of your account.

  10. If you enter an easy PIN number, example: 3333, this message will appear, also, don't use your birthday as a digit, some of your friends know your birthday and might try to hack your account.

  11. When you're asked to enter the PIN again and enter the wrong digit this message will appear.

After creating a PIN to get in your settings do the same as above step one.

You can delete the pending pin.

As well, when your PIN is pending when you goto your bank you will be asked if you set this pin and do you want to continue.

FAQ

Q: What happens if I forget my PIN number?
A: When the PIN keypad appears and asks for the PIN press I don't know and you'll be able to access or bank in 3 or 7 days.

Q: Will I have to enter the PIN every time I go to a bank?
A: No, but you do have to enter your PIN every time you log in

Q: How do I delete my active PIN?
A: Go to the nearest bank and talk to the banker, enter your active PIN and there you can delete it. Note: When you delete it the PIN will delete immediately.

Q: Someone at Jagex asked me to tell him my PIN, should I tell him?
A: No! Never tell Jagex staff your PIN or password, if they ask press Report Abuse immediately.
